I attended the panel session on Juvenile Court and Community-Based Alternatives and Court-Ordered Services at the Youth Violence Prevention and Positive Youth Development Conference in Hartford today and was very interested in the information you presented on the Juvenile Review Board. In your presentation you had discussed the JRB and that many members are volunteers from within the community, I was wondering how someone might go about getting involved with their local JRB. I am currently a masters level clinician with Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services as well as a clinician with a residential facility for adolescent girls on parole and I'd love to volunteer my counseling services to youth in need in my community. If you have any contacts for my town or any more information I would greatly appreciate your help in investigating this further.I was able to confirm that your town does have a JRB and I have provided the contact information for the case manager. You should contact her to discuss your interest in their JRB program.
